VINYL HEAVEN
A series exploring the vinyl releases of yesteryear. With the advent of the CD in the early 1980's and the demise of the LP, the way we listened to music was beginning to change. Smaller discs in more compact packaging, and harder wearing and less prone to scratch was the way forward we were told. However, the silver disc was never able to capture the thrill of placing the needle on the latest LP purchase or indeed when playing an album from the collection on the turntable.
With the the resurgence of vinyl in recent years, this series conceived by Jim Burlong, revisits some of the great albums of the LP era.
