A celebration of Lane's love for Brazilian Music the genius of Jobim, Valle and Djavan.  Recorded in a mix of English and Portuguese.
A fine selection of beautiful tunes played exceptionally by an amazing array of musicians.  Lane captures the sensuality and passion embedded in this repertoire as if it were her own.

Review:
There's saudade, subtlety and feeling a plenty in this fine sixth album from vocalist Karen Lane. Lane's winning interpretation of Luiz Bonfá and Antônio Maria's iconic Bossa nova "Manha De Carnival" features violinist Saskia Horton (Lane's eldest daughter) and cellist Simon McCorry.  Lane's mellifluous delivery shines most brightly in two alluring down-tempo numbers songs "Carminhos Cruzados" and "Moon and Sand" both of which appear to hover magically in the air like a heat haze.
